Michael and Jennifer Hannigan have been serving the children and youth of Dogwood Church for more than a decade. Michael is a longtime journalist and public servant who has a knack for seeing God at work in the everyday, while Jennifer, a speech teacher at Trinity Valley Community College, has a gift for encouraging young people to find their voice -- literally and figuratively. They believe youth ministry isn’t about big programs or perfect answers, but about sharing life and walking with students as they figure out who God is and what that means for them. Sometimes that looks like deep conversations, sometimes it’s just pizza and games, but either way, they wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.
